Over time the skin loses its full, firm youthful appearance.
Clients notice a sagging jaw line, sunken cheeks and temples which is mostly due to loss of collagen in the skin. Collagen acts like a natural scaffold for the skin.
Sculptra is a well established treatment that stimulates the skin to produce collagen. Sculptra works differently to the usual skin fillers. A series of fine injections under local anaesthetic are made to the temple areas, cheeks and the 'nose to mouth corner' lines. Usually 2-3 treatments are required at 6 week intervals. It is important to massage the treated areas for several days after treatment. Over a few weeks, there is a gradual but noticeable improvement in both the firmness of the skin and a lifting of temples, cheeks and jaw line. On average the effect last 2-3 years. Made from the same substance (poly-L Lactic acid) that is used in dissolvable surgical stitches, the substance has been safely used for over 25 years. The possible side effects are similar to other injectable treatments.
Sculptra gives a soft natural look that is achieved gradually. Why not make an appointment to see our doctor for advice on how this product can work for you?
